Process Academy / Learning path

Four stages.
One clear route through the plant.

Work top to bottom. Each stage builds on the one before, and every course has a companion workbook to practise with and keep as a record. Every page also ends with a “Next” link, so you never have to hunt for where to go.

Stage 01

Foundations

Read the site boundary and the four-pass method for understanding any plant.

Start

Industry atlas & operating lens

Trace material, find energy, protect barriers, hold quality — the method every later course uses.

How to use a course

Learn → practise → record

Work through the course page and its interactive exercises, then open the companion workbook to complete the checks, calculations and records. Print or save the workbook as evidence for your supervisor.

Stage 02

Core courses

Skills that travel to every process facility. Take them in order — each one assumes the one before.

Course 01

Operator

Shift cycle, trends, alarm response, field rounds and trusted handover.

Course 02

Instrumentation

Documents, measurement, 4–20 mA loops, calibration, valves and fault diagnosis.

Course 03 · New

Instrument tubing

Tube selection and ratings, threads and sealants, compression fittings and pre-setting tools, bending, routing, support, inspection and leak testing.

Course 04 · New

Manifolds

Instrument, hydraulic, pneumatic and production manifolds: flow paths, safe line-ups, design limits and fault diagnosis.

Course 05

Hazardous areas

Gas zones, Ex markings, protection concepts and installation integrity.

Course 06

Industrial electrical

Distribution, protection, motors, isolation, testing and maximum demand.

Stage 03

Industries

Apply the core skills to a real flow path. Pick the industry you work in first, then broaden.

Stage 04

LNG plant types

Specialise after the LNG overview. Each plant type has its own pocket workbook.

Training boundary: Process Academy is general learning material. It does not replace site procedures, permits, manufacturer instructions, engineering documents or formal competency assessment.
